maths in everyday life

let's learn some maths today. wihiii. (thanks a lot to one of SA members for this concept).
when you are neutral (neither sinful nor virtuous), you are in the zero state (0). when you made a sin, you are in a negative 1 (-1) state. after you seek for His forgiveness (if He forgives you, He is the forgiver indeed), you are in the 0 state again.

Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His servants and accepts the Sadaqat, and that Allah alone is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful (9:104)

you will always be in the 0 state if you keep doing the same mistake and ask for His forgiveness again and again. so when you'll improve yourself to be in the positive 1 (+1) state (which means you get reward from Him) ?? it is when you fight your nafs (-ve desire) so that you wont do the same mistake again. upon realizing your mistake, you should leave it behind and not repeating it. but as we know, humans are weak and often being influenced by syaitans to do the mistake again. this is actually the time when we should get the extra credits from Him. when we fight our nafs and the syaitans.

"And I free not myself (from the blame). Verily, the self is inclined to evil, except when my Lord bestows His mercy (upon whom He wills). Verily, my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'' (12:53)
