Well, let's imagine of a breeder with hundreds of cows in his farm. He provides them with shelter, food and everything else. Undeniably, it's up to the farmer on which cow would be his sacrifice everyday. The same thing goes for human. Allah has provided us with so many things. Too many to count indeed.
Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the SKY and from the EARTH? or who is it that has power over HEARING and SIGHT?
And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all
affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?" (yunus 10:31)
"and a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks?" (yasin 36:33-35)
The sun, which is obviously the main source of energy for human beings, enable plants to synthesize food. animals will then obtain energy by eating the plants. We, human beings, obtain energy from both plants and animals. What a beautiful combination it is. Everything fits nicely with each other. If the sun doesn’t exist, all of us will certainly die. We all wont be at where we are now. I wont be typing this post either. Generously He has given us families, friends, education and everything else. Then, who are we to question His actions?? Who are we to say "why this problem happens to me? Why not to other people?". We are merely His servants. S.E.R.V.A.N.T. a servant does not have the right to go against his Lord. All he has to do is to fully submit to Him. Give all his soul and life to Allah the almighty. Obey all His rules even if it is against the norms. Accept wholeheartedly His test, even its pain feels like your heart is being stabbed by a knife. For at the end of the day, you know you'll obtain the benefits in the Hereafter. The eternal happiness that everyone longs for.
"Say, `Indeed my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.' " (6:162)

thirsting for peace?
Those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah.
No doubt, in the remembrance of Allah the hearts find satisfaction. (13:28)
Salam. One finds utmost satisfaction and peaceful in the remembrance of Allah SWT. This is absolutely true. I've experienced so many times before. And alhamdulillah (all praise upon Him) am still experiencing it now. this pleasure comes at the highest peak at one time and surprisingly quickly fades away at another time. It goes as fast as it comes. This is its routine in my life. When I'm strayed away, my heart wont be at peace. You can still see me smiling cheerfully, but my heart is definitely not. Sometimes, I cry out of nothing. My eyes can burst into tears in seconds with no solid reasons behind it. I don’t even know what is the cause but I know there is something wrong. Everything is falling apart. Everything seems to be wrong. Why does this happen? The answer is obvious indeed. My soul does not get enough nutrition that it needs. The iman or remembrance of Allah SWT that it longs for. But I often neglect it until I realize my soul REALLY thirsted for iman. If you cant cry because you forget Him, then cry because you are not able to do that. As I'm reading the Quran, I will ALWAYS find sentences that hit me right at the face. The Quran is wonderful indeed. You can read it anytime, and there is always a sentence that fits into your situation. It definitely comprises of words of God. Back to the topic, as a human, we have the responsibility to feed both our soul and body with their own necessities. Food is obviously for our body, and our soul always craves for the remembrance of Him. For in the remembrance, I'll find unexplainable satisfaction and peace. I'll suddenly realize His countless blessings around me. My heart is content and everything seems wonderful and beautiful. Even when facing with problems, I'll see them as priceless gifts from Him that teach me to be stronger. The genuine satisfaction in my heart appears as smile on my face. If you are looking for peace in the world which is full of conflicts, let's find it within yourselves first.
may Allah bless you always
