~kisah hidupku ~

aku. aku tidak hidup untuk diri sendiri. aku hidup untuk Allah swt, untuk Rabbku, untuk islamku. maka riwayat hidupku bukanlah 50 tahun, 60 tahun atau barangkali 20 tahun. tetapi kisah hidupku telah bermula di saat Adam as diciptakan di syurga. di saat Nabi Muhammad saw diutus sebagai Rasul dan di saat islam di puncak dunia. Di saat islam dihina, ditindas dan dipijak tanpa belas kasihan. aku hidup sehinggalah islam kembali mekar sedikit demi sedikit dengan izinNya, hasil titik peluh ummatnya yang tidak pernah mengaku kalah. sehinggalah umat islam berjaya merampas semula palestin dari tangan israel. sehinggalah bumi ini dipulangkan semula kepadaNya ketika sangkakala ditiup. jiwa ku telah lama hidup dan tidak akan lenyap sehinggalah jasadku dibangkitkan. itulah kisah hidupku. penuh bermakna dan tiada kekesalan walau sesaat. insyaAllah. amin.

seeing is believing - KIBAR '10

Salam. we'd also spent one whole day with ustaz syazalie, a student of Syeikh abdul majeed al-Zindani. fyi, al-zindani is the writer of a famous book title "Kitab Tauhid: diperakui oleh fakta sains". ustz syazalie mentioned that he never find any ilmu iman like what al-zindani brought. he referred it as 'seeing is believing'.

in his book, al-zindani emphasised the truthfulness of Al-Quran,which was revealed 1400 years ago, supported by current scientific research. there are countless proof in Al-Quran that show it's really a book from Our Creator. once we witness its truthfulness, our hearts will grab islam tighter and insyaAllah our iman will be stronger. 'seeing is believing' is definitely important in showing the greatness of Allah swt and it certainly can be used to attract non-muslim to get to know islam.

even nabi ibrahim as whose iman was so strong, had asked Allah to show His sign :

And (remember) when Ibrahim said, "My Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead.'' He (Allah) said: "Do you not believe'' He (Ibrahim) said: "Yes (I believe), but to be stronger in faith.'' He said: "Take four birds, then cause them to incline towards you (then slaughter them, cut them into pieces), and then put a portion of them on every hill, and call them, they will come to you in haste. And know that Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.'' (2:260)

then, who are we to close our eyes and purposely make ourselves blind from seeing His signs around us. His signs are always there. we just have to open our eyes, hearts and minds.

one of the scientific proof that he brought upon is in the verse (24:40)

"Or like the darkness in a vast deep sea, overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, topped by dark clouds, (layers of) darkness upon darkness: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! And he for whom Allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light. " (24:40)

it's proven now that there are 2 types of waves in the sea; surface and internal waves. it's also proven that only blue light can go deeper than 200m. that's why He mention "if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it"

"And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it (this Qur'an) is the truth from your Lord, so that they may believe therein, and their hearts may submit to it with humility. And verily, Allah is the Guide of those who believe, to the straight path." (22:54)

always remember that Al-Quran is not merely a book of science, but it's a book of His signs. insyaAllah. amin.

A first timer Da'i - KIBAR '10

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

salam. KIBAR = kursus intensif bahasa arab. A programme full of sweet and meaningful memories. one of them is definitely the school attack. we are given the task to go to a school and carry out a motivational sharing session with form 5 students. and there i was, surrounded by nine students. and i was told to tell them about the purpose of studying and their real purpose of life (as what i'd written in the previous post)

Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is Allah,'' and then they stand firm, on them the angels will descend (saying): "Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised!''. "We have been your friends in the life of this world and are (so) in the Hereafter. Therein you shall have (all) that your souls desire, and therein you shall have (all) for which you ask.''."An entertainment from the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'' (41:30-32)

it wasnt an easy task as that was my first time telling a group of unknown people all by myself about islam. it was a wonderful and challenging experience yet there are still plenty of things need to be learnt. i never knew the feeling of attracting somebody to islam was beyond happiness. beyond words. nothing much i gave to them, but i cant still stop smiling.

وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَـتِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَوةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَوةَ
وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ أُوْلَـئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
"The believers, men and women, are supporters of one another; they enjoin good, and forbid evil; they perform the Salah, and give the Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His mercy on them. Surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise" (9:71)

and never to forget, always be aware of your weakness and improve it. here are some that i'd noticed:

1. be prepared. (it's definitely fine to go with the flow for spontaneous people, but that just doesnt work for me) think about you wanna convey to them and prepare its explanation, supported by hadith and verses from Al-Quran.

2. know how to twist. teenagers dont like a monotonous, straight talk. talk about things that teenagers love but remember to view it from an islamic perspective.

3. build rapport with them. call them by their names (ouchh) so that they feel special. be attentive to what they say and never put aside their opinions. be personal with them.

4. smile. show that you are exceptionally happy to be with them. show that you are concern about them.

there are still lots to be improved. this was just my 1st step. may always tsabat in the path i'd chosen. insyaAllah. amin.

قُلْ هَـذِهِ سَبِيلِى أَدْعُو إِلَى اللَّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَاْ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِى وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَمَآ أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

Say "This is my way; I invite unto Allah with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me. And Glorified and Exalted be Allah. And I am not of the idolators.'' (12:108)

we are special - KIBAR '10

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

salam. results, wealth, houses, cars. we may often feel inferior when someone is better than us especially in these aspects. but do we realize that every each one of us is special. being a human himself is an ultimate gift from Allah SWT. the widespread blue sea and the sky, colourful flowers, fierce and strong tigers are among His amazing creations. and among all of these, He chose humans as His best creation.

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَـنَ فِى أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
"Verily, We created man in the best form" (95:4)

although we are created from clay while malaikat made from light, Allah still asked them to prostrate to us as a sense of respect.

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لأَدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى

"And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves to Adam.'' They prostrated themselves (all) except Iblis; he refused.)" (Taha : 116)

humans have an exceptional position in His eyes. what's greater than this?
on top of that, we are actually so remarkable that He specially sends Quran down for us. it's not for the sky reaching Himalayan mountain range. it's not for the gigantic Coast Redwood tree which is 115.5m above the ground. but it's for us. little tiny creatures called humans!

"Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rent asunder by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect.)" (59:21)

even every minor incident happens for a reason, so does Allah create a very special creation without a purpose? of course not. He is the All-Wise, All-Knowing. as our life itself is a special gift, so let's be special in His eyes. let's fulfill our purpose of life!! insyaAllah.

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالإِنسَ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُونِ

"And I created not the Jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me." (51:56)

am still learning

salam. last few days a friend of mine gave me a thoughtful question. it was rather a statement, i guess. "you should wear like this. you're a moderator and how can we follow you if you're like that. etc2". i was really thankful for her advice. she reminded me of things that i often forgot. one thing i have to say, i am still not an ideal muslimah like fatimah az-zahra as i'm still learning. and will still be learning till my last breath. from my personal view, being a muslim is about being a learner. first, you have to learn what Allah likes, and what He doesnt like. then, learning to change yourself. learning to adapt to the change. and finally and most importantly, learning to be consistent. i dont want to lead anyone as i'm not as perfect as aisyah ra but i want to walk together, side by side with others to become perfect muslims. insyaallah. aminn.

كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ

fighting is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know (2:216)

sweetest memories

salam. suddenly my jaulah memories in sydney and brisbane appeared in my mind. they were all so beautiful and wonderful. i can still remember them vividly in my mind. having usrah while enjoying ayam kurma at a beach.


promising to one another to meet again in jannah on a ferry. having little discussion with my dearest friend on a ferry that's streaming down a river, accompanied by twinkling stars and cold wind, while others were celebrating eid adha eve with their families.


listening to maher zain's songs together on our way to gold coast. having our very first visit to a mosque in auburn. waiting for buses and trains while our bones were freezing by the cold winter wind. listening to stories of companions of muhammad saw from kak tikah on the floor of sydney airport with sleeping beds as our blanket and bags as our pillows. some may call it difficult and terrible but i'll call it my sweet memory.

الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّـلِحَاتِ طُوبَى لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَـَابٍ

"Those who believed and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. (13:28)"

travel is definitely fun. it would be more fun and meaningful if we view everything from an islamic lens. by wearing that lens, u can gain precious lessons at everywhere, at anytime. it was like everything was smiling to you. clouds, trees, the sea, buildings, stars.

وَللَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِى السَّمَـوَتِ وَالاٌّرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَظِلَـلُهُم بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالاٌّصَالِ

And unto Allah falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons. (13:15)

Many similar ways (and mishaps of life) were faced before you), for the previous nations who followed their Prophets before you, they too suffered losses. However, the good end was theirs, and the ultimate defeat was for the disbelievers. so travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied. (3:137)

the journey would be more and more meaningful when you are accompanied by people with pure heart during your travel. people that always put others first before themselves. i could feel the real meaning of ukhuwah with them. jazakillah khairan to those who had given me sweet memories in my life.

The believers are but a brotherhood. So make reconciliation between your brothers, and have Taqwa of Allah that you may receive mercy (49:10)

may Allah bless us always. may we will keep our promise. to meet again in jannah. insyaAllah. aminn.

salam. i felt the urge to write this post after reading this article:


hundreds of whales died just like that. plus, one of the activists mentioned that he could even see the suffering in their eyes. for an animal lover like me, this is really a sad news.

هُوَ الَّذِى خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِى الاٌّرْضِ جَمِيعاً ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَآءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ
سَبْعَ سَمَـوَاتٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

He it is Who created for you all that is on earth. Then He Istawa ila
the heaven and made them seven heavens and He is the Knower of everything. (2:29)

and the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the balance. in order you that may not transgress (due) balance. and observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. and the earth He has put for the creatures (55: 7-9)

this earth is His beautiful gift for us. He purposely made it for us. He gives it to us for free. then it's our responsibility as His servants to take care of it. the vast land, the blue sea, the clear sky. i'm sure no one would want to lose them. then, let's play our part in improving this. an individual's effort might be small, but it'll have a huge impact if we do it together and with consistence. here are some that i can think of

1. use fan instead of air-cond (we dont want cfc in the air ;P)
2. do not open your fridge for too long (cfc again)
3. just walk to the night market in your neighbourhood. (ouch)
if you can walk to a place, then do it. (considering the insecure environment in Malaysia,
this might be a bit difficult)
4. think twice before you wanna use your car (we're running out of petrol!)
5. bring your own bag while shopping ("no plastic please" )

and the list goes on...you may not see the impact immediately, but remember that He is always looking at our efforts. that's the beauty of islam. let's go greeen everyone ^_^
